The Caring Foundation Awards Grant to Kaleidoscope

Apr 3rd, 2025

The Caring Foundation of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama has awarded a generous grant to our Kaleidoscope Adult Day Program! We are so grateful for the foundation’s support, and know the tremendous impact this donation will make to the Kaleidoscope participants. Kaleidoscope keeps adults with disabilities active and engaged in structured daytime activities including arts and crafts, music therapy, recreational games, exercise classes, and life skills training.

Kaleidoscope is a weekday program for young adults with disabilities, 19 years old and up, who have transitioned out of high school and other adults who desire to remain active and engaged in structured daytime activities including arts and crafts, music therapy, recreational games, exercise classes, and life skills training. Group activities, field trips, and social events are organized to encourage friendship, camaraderie, and emotional support among participants. There is also a Summer Camp for adults ages 17 and up during June and July to meet the needs of school aged participants.

The Caring Foundation (TCF) was established in 1990 by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama to serve as our corporate charitable foundation for philanthropic needs within the state. TCF is focused on improving the health and well-being of Alabamians by investing in charitable organizations across the state.

Goodwill Gulf Coast serves 10 counties in Alabama and Florida.
