Adele Hapworth is the Chief Executive Officer for The American Equity Underwriters, Inc. (AEU), the leading provider of workers’ compensation coverage to waterfront employers. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Virginia, Adele began her career in strategy consulting. After joining AEU in 2007, she served in several leadership roles, including Director of Product Development and Chief Operating Officer, until June 2021, when she became CEO. In 2021, Adele was one of 50 women worldwide named to Business Insurance’s Women to Watch. Adele resides in Fairhope, Alabama, with her husband Hunt and their two children, Ferris and Helen.

Barry Reed’s journey with Goodwill Gulf Coast began nearly 20 years ago when he joined the team as a donation attendant. Since then, he worked his way up through the ranks, holding numerous leadership roles while demonstrating a consistent commitment to maximizing revenues from donated goods and generating financial support for programs and services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and recently completed his MBA at the University of West Florida. Reed lives on a small farm near Pace, Florida with his wife of 15 years, Aimee, and their beloved animals. When not at work, he enjoys hiking, home improvement and spending time outdoors.

Human Resources & Mission Service
Ginny Turner has served Goodwill Gulf Coast since 2009, starting in Human Resources and expanding her role to include Mission Services in 2020. Ginny holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of South Alabama and certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Certified Business Engagement Professional (CBEP). Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ginny is deeply committed to family life and enjoys supporting her children’s athletic pursuits. She is often found at sports fields and gyms, cheering on her kids.

Tony Zodrow has served nonprofits since 1990, focusing on administration, fundraising, and marketing. He joined Goodwill Gulf Coast in 2023. Tony has overseen five successful capital campaigns and many annual fundraising campaigns that exceeded their goals. In addition, he has received numerous marketing awards including the Gold MAC (Marketing, Achievement and Creativity) award from the Giant Screen Theater Association. Tony holds a Master’s degree in Communications from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas. He and his wife Shawna have two children, Jackson and Rachel.

Donated Goods & Retail
Jenny Thomas began her career with Goodwill Gulf Coast in 2016 as an Assistant Manager and has steadily advanced through leadership roles, including Store Manager, Director of Store Development, and Assistant Vice President of Donated Goods. In 2023, she completed the Goodwill Industries Senior Leadership Program. She is passionate about Goodwill’s mission and takes pride in leading teams, developing people, and finding new ways to grow donated goods and retail operations. Outside of work, Jenny’s favorite place to be is with her husband and four wonderful kids. She’s also an avid reader and a big football fan, especially when it comes to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Susan Roush began her career with Goodwill Gulf Coast in 1993, shortly after earning her Accounting degree from the University of South Alabama. Over the years, she has played an essential role in helping Goodwill grow from just four stores, contributing significantly to the development and success of the organization. As Accounting Director, Susan has provided exceptional leadership, deep institutional knowledge, and heartfelt dedication to her colleagues and the mission. Now stepping into the role of CFO, she is prepared to guide Goodwill’s future as we continue strengthening our mission and expanding our impact. Susan and her late husband, Charlie, have two sons, Charlie and Jackson, who live in Birmingham.
